Ja’Marr Chase wanted to get his money’s worth after scoring the game-winning touchdown for Cincinnati in New Orleans this afternoon. Chase booted the football following his 60-yard, go-ahead trip to the endzone. After the game, he says it was all part of his plan.

Chase said after the game that his goal was to be fined because of the kick. Whether he will or not remains to be seen but, for whatever reason he did it, he went for it with the celebratory kick.

Chase finished the day with seven catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns. With such a performance in a win, it’s hard to determine why Chase was so eager for the NFL to lighten his wallet. In his words, he says he ‘just wanted to do it’ and that he ‘always wanted to do that’.

Chase did his best to get noticed in the final moments of the game with this strange decision. We’ll have to wait and see if the kick and comments were enough, though, to get the league’s attention as the Bengals head into next week.

WATCH: Robbie Anderson gets heated with WR coach Joe Dailey amid potential trade reports

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robbie Anderson got heated and in the face of his wideouts coach Joe Dailey during Sunday’s afternoon matchup versus the Los Angeles Rams. The very public sideline spat comes just hours after a report that the team is shopping the talented pass-catcher for a potential trade.

At the time of their exchange, Anderson didn’t have a catch yet in the matchup. On the season thus far, he hasn’t been able to find his footing. He’s amassed just 13 receptions for 206 receiving yards and one touchdown through five games.

After posting his first and only 1,000-yard season in 2020, his production dipped in 2021. He had just 519 yards and five touchdowns on 53 receptions.
