Jaxon Smith-Njigba adds top-30 visits to Dallas, Houston, Buffalo, more

As one of the top prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft, former Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba has a busy run-up to his trip to Kansas City. He’s already completed a top-30 prospect visit with the Atlanta Falcons, but now, he has visits scheduled with the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens, per Adam Schefter.
The teams Smith-Njigba is visiting have picks No. 26 (Cowboys), No. 2 and No. 12 (Texans), No. 27 (Buffalo) and No. 22 (Ravens) in the first round later this month.
Smith-Njigba only appeared in three games last season due to a lingering hamstring injury. However, he made more than enough of a statement in 2021. The young wideout delivered with 95 catches for 1,606 yards and nine touchdown grabs.
The Buckeyes star answered the biggest question lingering about his skills at Pro Day. Smith-Njigba recorded a 4.48 40-yard dash, well below fellow first-round Ohio State draft picks Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave entering the 2022 NFL Draft.
With teams well aware of what they’d get on the field from Smith-Njigba by this point in the process, they are now getting to know him better off the field.
The NFL’s top-30 visits are reserved for 30 prospects per team and do not involve on-field workouts. They serve as job interviews, on top of medical checkups and meetings with the coaching staff.
