WATCH: Jayson Tatum hits game-winning three, followed by Joel Embiid full-court make after buzzer

The Boston Celtics defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in dramatic fashion, as both Jayson Tatum and Joel Embiid hit incredible shots. Tatum dribbled up the court with time running out and the game tied at 107-107, before hitting an impossible to defend step-back three. His shot fell with 1.3 seconds remaining on the clock, and the 76ers inbounded the ball to Embiid. The star big man took a dribble and spun off a defender, launching a shot from near his own free throw line — and hit the desperation basket.
Unfortunately for Embiid, the shot was released just after the final buzzer and was waived off by officials, giving Boston the 110-107 win.

The finish sent commentator Mike Breen into a fit of excitement at the late theatrics, as he already went up to maximum with his signature “Bang!” call on Tatum’s make. As the entire arena erupted around them however, Embiid appeared to know the shot was out of his hands late as he downplayed the moment and walked off the court shaking his head.
Despite the loss, fans in attendance at the Wells Fargo Center were treated to a double-dose of buzzer beaters — and fans around the league were given an excellent finale to a day of near-playoff basketball.
