Report: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones paid off millions to woman who filed paternity lawsuit
The paternity lawsuit against Jerry Jones just took another crazy turn.
Jones paid $3 million to the woman who filed the lawsuit and her mother, according to ESPN’s Don Van Natta Jr. That number includes the woman’s full tuition at SMU and a $70,000 Range Rover for her 16th birthday.
Alexandra Davis, 25, filed the lawsuit March 3 alleging Jones is her biological father. The lawyer — Don Jack, who’s a longtime friend of Jones — told Van Natta Jones made regular payments on his behalf to Davis and her mother. Jack also said Davis demanded $20 million for confidentiality.
The Davises also requested money and other expenses from Jones, including $33,000 for Davis’ 16th birthday party, which was featured on “Big Rich Texas,” a reality TV show. He also paid $24,000 for her trip abroad and gave her and her mother $25,000 for a holiday vacation in Paris, according to Van Natta.
Jones hasn’t acknowledged Davis as his biological daughter despite using the term “child support” in his statement regarding the lawsuit. Van Natta asked Jack why the statement used that term, and he said “that’s what the agreement calls it.” Then, Van Natta asked if it indicated Jones was Davis’ biological father, and he answered after a five-second pause.

“I am not going to answer that one,” Jack said. “My statement speaks for itself.”
More on the lawsuit against Jerry Jones
The lawsuit, filed March 3 in Dallas County, claims that Jones is Davis’ biological father and alleges that he paid her mother to keep the information quiet. Davis currently works as an aide to U.S. House of Representatives Ronny Jackson, after working for 14 months in The White House under Donald Trump.
In the suit, she alleged that the billionaire paid her mother hundreds of thousands of dollars in 1996 to hide the fact that he was her father. It’s a secret Davis said in the lawsuit she’s carried her entire life. Jones paid the woman $375,000 in “exchange for confidentiality” and also had a friend and lawyer set up two trusts for Davis that were linked to her and her mother, according to the lawsuit documents attained by ESPN.
The lawsuit also alleges that the Cowboys’ owner “abandoned and shunned” Davis. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and had to remain quiet after her birth on Dec. 16, 1996. It’s only the latest problem for Jerry Jones, who was recently involved in a cheerleading scandal. Even though there was no wrongdoing found in that scandal, he still had to pay a $2.4 million settlement.
Jones responded to the suits, calling them “multiple extortion attempts” against him.
