WATCH: Kadarius Toney takes victory lap on Giants following Super Bowl win

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney took a victory lap on the New York Giants after winning Super Bowl LVII.

The former Florida Gators star was traded midseason to the Chiefs and while he did not break out with big numbers, he was a key player down the stretch. He also had the longest punt return in Super Bowl history that aided the Chiefs in their 38-35 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Toney was asked why it ended up working out going from the Giants to the Chiefs.

“I’m a Super Bowl Champion, that’s why,” Toney said.

He was also asked about his key punt return which set up a second-half touchdown for the Chiefs and helped gain control of the game.

“Man it was a return that was just set up … I just had to go out there and make a play,” Toney said. “When I caught the ball and looked down, I saw all of these jerseys in front of me. I knew something was open and I made the cut … Man, it’s surreal right now.”

It’s definitely a bittersweet moment for the Giants. The team did not have the former first round pick for too long before making a change.

Now, Toney is a key member of a Super Bowl championship roster and could develop into a big time weapon. Patrick Mahomes should be happy to add his skills to the squad.

Kansas City has a young squad and primed to win more Super Bowls at this rate. While the Giants made the playoffs this season, Toney was definitely feeling himself after getting his first ring and seemingly proving a point about his value in the process.
