WATCH: Leo Chenal jumps to top of Chiefs championship parade bus
Former Wisconsin and current Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Leo Chenal is a proven freak athlete. Standing at 6-foot-2, 250 pounds, Chenal posted a 40.5″ vertical jump and 10.08 foot in the broad jump at last year’s NFL combine, and ran one of the fastest 40-yard dash times for a linebacker at 4.53.
But his most impressive athletic feat may have come at the Chiefs Super Bowl LVII parade, when he channeled his inner Tom Cruise in order to get on a double-decker bus filled with his teammates.
With the bus parked and the doors open Chenal decided to take a shortcut method when boarding, showing off his explosiveness by jumping up, grabbing the bus railing, and hoisting himself up to the top level in order to join his teammates in the celebration.
There’s no doubt that Chenal’s parkour-like moves were impressive, and displayed the same athletic ability that likely appealed to the Kansas City front office during the 2022 draft. The Chiefs selected Chenal with the No. 103 overall pick in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he recorded 19 tackles and a sack, including a career-high 6 tackles in their 38-35 Super Bowl win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Smith-Schuster tweeted a card that will hit home far too well for Philadelphia Eagles fans, posting a picture that referenced the questionable holding penalty from the Chiefs Super Bowl victory on Sunday. In the fourth quarter with less than two minutes remaining in the game, a controversial defensive holding penalty was called on Eagles’ cornerback James Bradberry on a pass attempt to Smith-Schuster, which shifted the game in favor of the Chiefs and led to their 38-35 victory.
Smith-Schuster captioned his tweet “Happy Valentine’s Day everybody” followed by a red heart emoji and picture of Bradberry saying, “I’ll hold you when it matters most”.
The tweet may not be received as lovingly by Bradberry and Eagles’ fans, but nonetheless provided a hilarious moment in the sports world on the day of love. Smith-Schuster ended Super Bowl LVII with seven catches for 53 yards, winning a ring in his first season in Kansas City after spending the last five seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
