Chiefs activate Snead and Toney
The Kansas City Chiefs made a multitude of important roster moves ahead of Super Bowl LVIII. Wide receivers like Kadarius Toney and Mecole Hardman left their AFC Championship game versus the Cincinnati Bengals with injuries, and with quarterback Patrick Mahomes already battling an ankle injury, it looked like bad news for the Chiefs offense regarding health.
Hardman was placed back on the injured reserve on the Monday following the Bengals game after spending most of the season on the IR and only playing in eight games for Kansas City during the regular season. Toney on the other hand was activated for the Chiefs ahead of the Super Bowl after suffering an ankle injury in the conference championship game, and will be a huge addition to the Chiefs offensive after joining the team in November via a trade with the New York Giants.
Sneed suffered a concussion versus the Bengals, but after clearing protocol was limited in practice due to a knee injury. Sneed being activated for the Chiefs in the Super Bowl is critical for their defense, as he served as their best cornerback all season leading the team in pass breakups and interceptions.
