WATCH: Kayvon Thibodeaux on Jeff Saturday call out: I don't know who he is
Giants rookie Kayvon Thibodeaux has received some backlash after he made snow angels in celebration over a sack this weekend against the Indianapolis Colts. The only problem – he was doing it next to an injured Nick Foles.
Colts interim head coach Jeff Saturday called the celebration, calling it tasteless, trash and that he isn’t a fan of it at all. Thibodeaux let his opinion rain free when speaking to the New York media Wednesday.
“I don’t know who [Jeff Saturday] is. Anybody who comments on it, unless I know who they are, it doesn’t really affect me,” Thibodeaux said. It doesn’t seem that the former Oregon star was aware of Saturday’s comments, as before he said that he had to be corrected because he believed the media was creating a “narrative” about the whole situation.
In Thibodeaux’s defense, the video of the sack shows him sacking Foles and then immediately goes into celebration mode. It doesn’t seem that Thibodeaux was aware that Foles was injured, but to Saturday, that doesn’t excuse his so-called tasteless actions.

Still, Saturday knows the root of the problem isn’t the fact that Thibodeaux decided to celebrate during an injury, but because his offensive line hasn’t stepped up to the occasion this year.
“[I’m] disappointed from the O-line perspective and for teammates in general,” Saturday said after the 38-10 loss the the Giants. “We protect our own. I mean, y’all know me. I’ve been here a long time. So, I’m just gonna tread lightly. Obviously, I didn’t like it at all and that’s where I’ll leave it.”
Heading into the final week of the regular season, Thibodeaux has compiled 33 solo tackles, four sacks and two forced fumbles during his rookie season. The Giants will take on the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday afternoon at 4:25 p.m. ET to round their 2022-2023 slate.
