Key Packers defensive back exits Lions game
Green Bay defensive back Chandon Sullivan left the game with the Lions late in the fourth quarter with a knee injury. The timing of the injury is awful for the Packers, as the playoffs begin next week.
The severity of the injury is unknown at this point in time. Sullivan left the game with Packers’ medical staff and was pointing to his head as he was walking off the field. We’ll just have to wait and see what further tests say about Sullivan’s knee.
The Georgia State product has three interceptions so far this season for the Packers. Anytime a defense loses a key playmaker it’s important, but obviously with the playoffs coming up there is a heightened concern around his status. Green Bay just activated star corner Jaire Alexander from the reserve/Covid-19 list ahead of their matchup with the Lions.
However, he’s still recovering from an AC joint injury in his shoulder. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur opted to give him an extra week of rest heading into the bye week of the playoffs.

Davante Adams made Green Bay Packers’ history
Davante Adams achieved an incredible career milestone a week ago and on Sunday, he added another impressive Green Bay record to his resume. He broke Jordy Nelson’s single-season receiving yardage mark of 1,519 receiving yards.
It’ll be interesting to see if Adams and Rodgers can lead the Packers to a Super Bowl in the playoffs. The Packers are a very complete team, but these injuries simply won’t be helping things.
The 2022 NFL Playoffs should be some of the most exciting and competitive in league history. Even though the Packers are the top overall seed for the NFC, there are numerous other really, really talented teams in the playoffs this year.
