Keyshawn Hall, a 6-foot-7 power forward out of Cleveland (Ohio) Speights Academy tells On3 he’s down to five schools – Mississippi State, Pittsburgh, Missouri, Texas A&M, and Georgia Tech.

The uncommitted senior also received offers from Illinois, South Carolina, Wichita State, among others.

Hall has yet to take any visits but says he hopes to visit each of his five finalists and hopefully make a decision by mid-February. If he can’t make it to all five schools, then he will focus on visiting Missouri, Pittsburgh, and Texas A&M.

He discussed each school with On3.

Mississippi State: “I like how they play and their playstyle. They play tough. I like how tough they play and how they grind.”

Pittsburgh: “My boy is there, John Hugley. They have a slower pace, but I don’t have a problem with a slower pace. I talked to the coaches there and they said they would let me play my game.”

Missouri: “Coach (Cuonzo) Martin… I watched a lot on them this year. I’ve been watching Kobe Brown because we are similar players, but I think I handle it a little better. I like how I think I can fit in there with the way they play and everything. I would be able to show how versatile I am.

Texas A&M: “I watched the game against Georgia, and their real tough and they grind. You can see their record this year. They’re not losing much. They’re playing hard. So I like that, I like to win.”

Georgia Tech: “Coach (Josh) Pastner seems like a cool coach. I’ve been in Atlanta before and I like the area they’re in. I’ve talked to a lot of people about it and they’ve said he’s the type of coach that as long as you play hard and play good on defense, then he will let you play free and play your game.”

What’s Keyshawn Hall looking for in a college?

“I’m looking for the atmosphere, how the team is and if they’re a family. How the coach is and how he will fit me in the system and of course they will show me film on the visit so I want to see how I will fit.”
