Lamar Jackson has been slicing the Miami Dolphins defense all Sunday long, and it was never more apparent than Jackson’s 79-yard rushing touchdown late in the third quarter to extend the Baltimore Ravens’ lead to three touchdowns.

Untouched, Jackson took the quarterback option right up the middle and was untouched to score the longest touchdown of his career.

Not only does Jackson have over 100 yards on the ground, as of that touchdown, he also had a perfect passer rating in the game. Terrifyingly for Miami, there’s still an entire fourth quarter to be played. Catch the remainder of Baltimore’s onslaught – or Miami’s comeback, depending on your perspective – live on your regional CBS station or on NFL Game Pass.

WATCH: Devin Duvernay breaks off 103-yard kickoff return for score versus Miami

Devin Duvernay couldn’t start Sunday off any better. The former Texas Longhornsreceiver returned the Miami Dolphins’ opening kickoff 103 yards for a Ravens touchdown. It’s the third touchdown of the season for Duvernay, which is already one more than he had in 2021 or in his rookie season in 2020.

Despite more than 25 attempts returning kicks for Texas, Duvernay never had a kick return touchdown during his four-year career with the Longhorns. He had his first for the Ravens as a rookie in 2020 after the squad took him No. 92 overall in the third round of the draft.

Catching the kickoff in the middle of the endzone, Duvernay took off up the middle of the field and attacked the meat of the action between blockers. After catching one block, the Ravens wideout saw daylight to the left. He ran towards the sideline and turned on the jets to outrun the kicker and defensive back Keion Crossen.

Coming into the Week 2 game versus the Dolphins, Duvernay had four catches on four targets with two touchdowns. He had a total of 54 yards, which he nearly doubled with his kickoff return touchdown on Sunday.

As a rookie, Duvernay appeared in 16 games, hauling in 20 catches for 201 receiving yards. In 2021, he posted 33 receptions for 272 yards and two touchdowns. The 5-foot-11 wideout from Texas appears to be expanding his role for the Ravens in his third year in the league.

The Baltimore Ravens started the season with a 24-9 win over the New York Jets. If they escape the Dolphins, the Ravens will take an unblemished record into a road game versus the New England Patriots next week.
