LeBron James is a fan of what he sees from Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. The NBA star took to Twitter to offer his congratulations to Burrow after Cincinnati defeated Kansas City on Sunday to claim the AFC Championship.

“Joe B is the absolute truth,” James wrote on Twitter earlier this season. “We all saw and knew it.”

Burrow and the Bengals found themselves down 21-3 at one point in the first half Sunday. They held the Chiefs to just a field goal for the remainder of the game however, coming back to win 27-24 on a game-winning kick from Evan McPherson.

Burrow finished the game with 250 yards passing and two touchdowns. His third-quarter score to Ja’Marr Chase tied the game at 21 after he converted a two-point conversion.

“Our defense made plays in the second half, and on offense, we made plays when we had to,” Burrow said postgame. “I thought our offensive line played really well all day. We started running the ball well there at the end, that was exciting. Big win for us.”

With the win over Kansas City, Cincinnati is locked in for Super Bowl 56. The Bengals have never won a Super Bowl but this could be the year with Joe Burrow leading the way. They’ll face the winner of the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers matchup.

James knows a thing or two about winning championships. The 37-year-old has claimed four titles throughout his NBA career, with the most recent one coming in 2020 with the Los Angeles Lakers. An Akron, Ohio, native, James also led his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers to a championship in 2016.

This year, Joe Burrow has a similar storyline as LeBron James did in 2016. Burrow grew up in The Plains, Ohio, being drafted to a team in his home state. Now the second-year player has a chance to deliver the first-ever Super Bowl to Cincinnati and strengthen his legacy in his state.

Kickoff for the Super Bowl is set for 6:30 p.m. ET on Feb. 13 in Los Angeles.
