For the first time in the city of Los Angeles, the Rams are Super Bowl champions. Taking down the Cincinnati Bengals, the season just had to end on a touchdown between quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Cooper Kupp.

Just seconds after the clock hit zero, NBC cut to an Odell Beckham Jr. in street clothes on the sideline. Even though he missed the entire second half with a knee injury, you can see how much finally getting a Super Bowl championship means to him. Beckham Jr. was in tears while embracing fellow midseason acquisition Von Miller on the sidelines.

You can watch the full moment here.

Beckham Jr. got injured late in the second quarter, suffering a non-contact knee injury on a second-down play. He finished with two receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown. The Rams struggled without him on offense in the second half but still found a way to lift the trophy at the end of the night thanks to wide receiver Cooper Kupp stepping up.

After struggling with the Cleveland Browns all season, Beckham Jr. was able to get himself out and sign with the competitor of his choice. Working with Stafford and head coach Sean McVay ended up being the right decision, as Beckham Jr. will now be able to wear a Super Bowl ring on his finger for the rest of his life.

Odell Beckham Jr. ties NFL record during Super Bowl

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. put his name in the NFL record books early in Sunday’s Super Bowl versus Cincinnati. Beckham caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, the first of the game, notching his seventh touchdown of the season for L.A.

The touchdown gave the former LSU standout the record for most scores with a team other than the one he started the season with. He passed Dallas Cowboys wideout Amari Cooper who had six in 2018 after leaving the Raiders.

Beckham joined the Rams in November after being waived by the Cleveland Browns. The three-time Pro Bowler signed a one-year deal worth up to $4.25 million, including a $1 million bonus for winning the Super Bowl. In eight games with the Rams this season, Beckham has compiled 27 catches for 305 yards and five touchdowns. He set a season-high in the NFC Championship with nine catches for 113 yards.
