Venice (Fla.) three-star running back Jamarice Wilder has flipped his commitment from James Madison to Louisville, he announced on Thursday.

The one-time Colorado commit was pledged to the Dukes since June 27, but is now in the mix for Jeff Brohm and the Cardinals.

Wilder is the No. 76 RB and No. 128 player in Florida in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He checks in as the No. 1,007 overall prospect in the nation.

The Cards came in with an official offer this week and quickly got Wilder in the mix. The 5-foot-10, 176-pounder is a key cog for Venice, which is 8-1 this season and is currently the No. 2 team in the state of Florida, per the On3 Massey Ratings.

He is commitment No. 13 for Louisville this cycle. The class ranks No. 59 in the nation and No. 15 in the ACC, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

More on Louisville Recruiting

The Cards still have just one blue-chip commit in their class, as of Oct. 31. Highland Home (Ala.) four-star EDGE C.J. May pledged on July 13 and is the No. 400 overall prospect in the nation.

“Louisville’s one of the other schools I’ve had my eye on as a kid,” May previously told On3. “Now having the opportunity to explore it. Coach (Mark) Hagen does a great job of recruiting me, then I’ve got all the other coaches around it,” May said of Louisville ahead of his commitment this summer. “Coach (Jeff) Brohm also does a fantastic job of recruiting me. His son, Brady, also has a tight relationship with me. We text and stuff every day. It’s a nice city, nice place. I feel like I’d be comfortable playing there.”

Oxford (Ala.) three-star quarterback Mason Mims is amidst an undefeated senior season and is now the No. 35 QB in the cycle. He’s been in the class since last November and is one of six commits on the offensive side of the ball for Brohm and Co.

Wilder is the second Sunshine State RB commit in the mix for U-of-L, joining West Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal Newman three-star Jaylin Brown. Other top commits in the Cardinals’ class include: Indianapolis Warren Central three-star EDGE Tyrone Burrus, Cincinnati North Oldham three-star safety Micah Rice and Dacula (Ga.) Buford three-star wide receiver Jordan Allen.
