Matt Ryan to start again for Indianapolis against the Raiders
The Indianapolis Colts have been a bit of a mess the last few weeks. Between quarterback changes and head coaching changes, the franchise has been searching for some stability over the course of the 2022 season. With the decision they made today, though, another change is coming.
Per NFL.com, the Colts are going back to Matt Ryan as their starting quarterback in their game this afternoon against the Las Vegas Raiders. The former league MVP was benched heading into Week 8 in favor of Sam Ehlinger but he’ll now be back under center opposite of Derek Carr.

Ryan was completing 68.3% of his passes for over 2,000 yards and nine touchdowns in his appearances. However, he was as turnover prone as anyone in the league with nine interceptions and several fumbles. That led to his benching and Ehlinger’s opportunity, which led to an 0-2 stretch for the team.

With Jeff Saturday taking over in Indy, it’s likely that he wanted to take his turn at leading the team with Ryan inserted into the lineup. Time will tell if they can get the job done, though, with Ryan back as QB1.
WATCH: Vikings superstar Justin Jefferson makes one of the greatest NFL catches of all-time
Minnesota Vikings superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson is one of the best receivers in the game today. Late in the game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, he made one of the best catches in NFL history. On 4th and 18 with the game on the line, Kirk Cousins lobbed up a prayer to the right sideline to Jefferson. Cousins dropped back to the 18-yard line and launched the ball all the way to the Bills 43-yard line, where Jefferson leaped in the air, bringing the football down with one hand. Keep in mind, Bills defensive back Cam Lewis was blanketing Jefferson. However, that was no match for the former LSU star’s spectacular ball skills.
