On Sunday night, Mike Evans and Tom Brady showed that their connection and chemistry is as good as ever. Mike Evans also showed everyone why he’s one of the best receivers in the league late in the third quarter, hauling in an amazing one-handed catch in the end zone. Check it out below as he reels in the spectacular grab against Cowboys defensive back Trevon Diggs.

The touchdown catch put the Tampa Bay Bucs up 19-3 on the Dallas Cowboys. That was the score at the end of the third quarter and that would be the final on Sunday night from Dallas.

Nick Saban once said there’s no way to defend a perfect pass. Well, there’s no way to defend a perfect catch, either. There was simply nothing Diggs could have done on that one. What an amazing grab by Evans. He’s been a master of the fade over the years. .

Mike Evans is the best at catching fade passes in the NFL

Since 2018, Evans has hauled in 20 touchdown catches on the fade route, the most in the National Football League, according to Next Gen Stats. He’ll be even more important for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers moving forward since they are still waiting on Chris Godwin to get back to full health. On Sunday night against the Cowboys, Evans led the Bucs in receiving, hauling in five catches for 71 receiving yards and a touchdown.

The Cowboys had a really hard time getting anything going on offense on Sunday night. The Tampa Bay defense did an excellent job of getting pressure on Dak Prescott and covering their receivers down the field. Prescott only completed 14 of 29 passes for 134 passing yards, while tossing no touchdowns and one interception. He injured his hand when Bucs linebacker Shaq Barrett hit him on the hand following a passing play.
