Milan Momcilovic sets Virginia, UCLA official visits; Who will get 5th visit?
Milan Momcilovic has been one of the breakout players of the Spring. The 6-foot-8 post player averaged 23.2 points per game during EYBL Louisville.
“I’ve been playing in the post a lot,” Momcilovic told On3. “My footwork is pretty good down there. Some people say I play like Dirk (Nowitski), but I try to take from Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum of people in the NBA now. Their moves are crazy, and I’ll just go to the next level if I can incorporate that into my game.”
College programs have prioritized the Team Herro center. On3 caught up with Milan Momcilovic this weekend to see what visits he had upcoming.
“I have taken two official visits, Iowa State and Minnesota,” Momcilovic said. “I will visit Virginia next weekend, and then the June 15-16 weekend, I am going to UCLA. After that, I will get one more in, and I am looking at Michigan State and Texas.”
Momcilovic talks recruitment
Minnesota: “They are really nice people over there; Ben Johnson, Jason Kemp, the whole staff, really. They are great people; I feel like I could play for them.”
Iowa State: “The open relationship and honesty I have with them. They have come down and visited me like six times already. Because of that, I can see they really want me, and I appreciate that.”

Virginia: “Tony Bennett is an all-time great coach, and Virginia is an all-time great program. Going there will be very cool. Leon Bond is from my area in Wisconsin, and he committed there. He has been really talking it up, so that would be cool.”
UCLA: “I mean, it’s UCLA. California, one of the great campuses in the world, the girls. They recently went to the final four, and just an all-time great program.”
Momcilovic’s take
“The top thing for me is the relationship with the coaches,” Momcilovic said. “My relationship with the head coach, the assistants, the strength coach – that is obviously going to be big for me, getting stronger. The player development is important, so I can keep taking my game to the next level. Lastly, just winning, a program that wins at all costs, and I can contribute to that right away.”
On3’s take
Milan Momcilovic is a skilled post player. He is confident with the ball in his hands and can make plays from multiple areas on the floor. The athleticism will be a question, but he has an array of ball fakes and footwork to be able to get a shot off. He has good hands. I would like to see him rebound more, and the jump shot release is inconsistent from three, but he has touch and can step out and take a shot. He can draw fouls well in the mid-range and mid-post and get to the free-throw line.
