WATCH: Miles Sanders shares special moment with Damar Hamlin on field before Super Bowl LVII

Eagles running back Miles Sanders shared a special moment with his childhood friend, Bills safety Damar Hamlin, ahead of Super Bowl LVII. Hamlin was in attendance for the biggest game of the year just over a month after his on-field injury that threatened his life — and he hooked up with Sanders on the field during warmups for an incredible moment between friends.

Sanders and Hamlin have been friends since they were teenagers, and although they attended different high schools their connection growing up together is one of the most special bonds in the NFL. With his friend’s recent traumatic experience at the front of his mind this year, Sanders wore a special pair of cleats in honor of Hamlin during his NFC Championship Game showdown with the San Francisco 49ers.
“It scared me. It scared everybody else. But for me, being so close to him, it scared the s— out of me, I’m not going to lie. I’m still a little shook up,” said Sanders shortly after Hamlin’s injury last month.
Now, the pair got to share a happy moment with each other to give Sanders a little extra juice for the big game. With Hamlin hanging out on the field before the game, Sanders spotted him and came over to celebrate the day with his longtime friend.

Chiefs win Super Bowl LVII
Super Bowl LVII delivered on the hype for fans as the Chiefs took their second championship under Patrick Mahomes by a field goal. Kansas City benefitted from a late penalty for defensive holding by the Eagles to allow them to run the clock down before attempting the game-winning field goal for a 38-35 lead.
Philadelphia was left with only eight seconds on the clock after the drive and a Hail Mary pass attempt by Jalen Hurts ended up well short of the end zone as time expired. Despite scoring four touchdowns on the night — with three rushing scores — Hurts fell to a team for just the second time this season after an incredible second-year campaign.
