Bijan Robinson is continuing to garner some serious praise ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft.

The former Texas Longhorns star running back could buck the recent downtrend the position has seen over the last couple of drafts. Many believe Robinson could go as high as the top ten, something NFL analyst Adam Schein sees as a true possibility.

“Oh, hell yeah!” emphatically responded Schein, asked if the former Texas star could go within the first ten picks of the 2023 NFL Draft. “It’s well-documented that I am very pro running back in Round 1 as a cherry on top for a great team. And Bijan Robinson — an Edgerrin James clone, if you ask me — has the kind of elite all-around game that could fit in any system.

“So in this case, I wouldn’t even limit his potentially high selection to the cherry-on-top sort.”

But where would be a preferable landing spot for the former Texas ball carrier? According to Schein, the Atlanta Falcons or the Philadelphia Eagles could be potential landing spots inside the top ten.

“Atlanta at No. 8? I’d love to see him in Arthur Smith’s offense,” added Schein. “Philadelphia at No. 10? Dreamy for Eagles fans … and a nightmare for the rest of the league.

“Which team couldn’tuse a multifaceted offensive weapon like this 21-year-old? This cat is special — so special that he could definitely be a trade-up target.”

Evidently, the hype is warranted, as some experts believe teams see Robinson as more than simply any old running back. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen took it up a notch Tuesday in a SportsCenter mock draft special.

He showed just how talented he thinks Robinson is, saying he reminds him of Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk and current 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey.

“I had one guy tell me recently, ‘don’t think of him as a guy that’s kind of like Saquon Barkley,’ which isn’t bad when he’s healthy,” Mortensen said. “He’s got Christian McCaffrey and Marshall Faulk-type skills. In other words, you can put him in the slot. (Steve) Sarkisian, the Texas coach, will tell you some of the remarkable things that he has done not just in games, but in practice. That part of him could really explode in the NFL.

“I think when you look at that, I think we better be prepared to be slightly surprised that Bijan Robinson goes higher than what we’ve been mocking him.”

Indisputably, Bijan Robinson has immense talent, and he likely won’t have to wait long to hear his name called next week during the NFL Draft.
