Anthony Richardson won the “Underwear Olympics” — better known as the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine — and now he’s flying up draft boards.
The former Florida quarterback was already well-known as an athletic specimen, but he proved it in Indianapolis, and now NFL teams are salivating. So much so that his odds to be the first quarterback drafted during April’s 2023 NFL Draft have rocketed, as he now only sits behind former Alabama star Bryce Young.
Check out the odds from FanDuel Sportsbook below, where Richardson has gone from afterthought to +380 to be the first off the board.
Moreover, Richardson raised plenty of eyebrows when he jumped 40.5″ in the vertical jump, which set a new record for quarterbacks. That came after he turned in a 10’9″ broad jump.
His performance at the combine adds to the excitement about his potential in the league. This past year, he proved he can be an effective dual-threat with 2,549 passing yards, 654 rushing yards and 26 total touchdowns.
