Arrest warrant issued for NFL free agent Antonio Brown
Tampa Police Department has a warrant out for the arrest of former Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown on Thursday, according to an arrest order acquired by WTVT’s Kevin O’Donnell.
Brown, a free agent since he walked off the field for the Buccaneers in January, is charged with a misdemeanor domestic violence battery charge for an incident on Nov. 28. O’Donnell reports that the incident involved one of the mothers of his children.
Prior to his arrest, the Tampa PD requested a risk protection order for the former Bucs receiver. However, a judge denied the protection order on November 29, according to court documents obtained by Steelers Now.
A risk protection order would have allowed the authorities to ban Brown’s access to weapons and ammunition in Florida.
The Central Michigan alum was back in the headlines in October when he appeared to expose himself at a pool in Dubai. He was later then accused of stealing $122,000 worth of jewelry and having a Dubai jeweler falsely jailed.

Antonio Brown embroiled in scandal since Tampa Bay departure
The last time we saw Brown in uniform, he would take it off — literally — in the middle of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers road game against the New York Jets before parading around the sidelines. The incident forced the hand of the Bucs’ brass and the two parties would go their separate ways following the game.
In seven games last season, Brown caught 42 passes for 545 yards and four touchdowns. He was a shell of his former self after he strung together six 1,000-plus yard receiving seasons from 2013-18. Since leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers, Brown made a pit stop in New England for a one-game stint with the Patriots before settling down in Tampa for the past two seasons.
Since the incident, Brown has contemplated his retirement from the NFL, joining various teams, claimed he was interested in buying a NFL franchise and hilariously revealing his career’s biggest regret.
