“WR Randall Cobb (ankle) is expected to be activated from injured reserve and play versus the Titans, per NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero,” read the report on NFL.com. “Cobb has not played since Week 6.”
Originally, Cobb went down against the New York Jets with his injury and in his place the team has been stretched thin at the wideout position.
Over the past four weeks without Cobb, Rodgers has thrown for an average of 228 yards per game and eight touchdowns to four interceptions. Thankfully, Christian Watson had a breakout game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, catching four passes for three touchdowns.
Now, the Packers could be finding their stride, and Randall Cobb will be back in the fold for some crucial showdowns as the season hits the home stretch.
Houston Texans claim former Green Bay Packers third-round pick Amari Rodgers off waivers
In other news, former Green Bay Packer and past star wide receiver for the Clemson Tigers — Amari Rodgers — has found a new home in the NFL. According to the NFL’s waiver wire, the Houston Texans have picked up the former third-round pick off waivers, following being released by the Packers.
Rodgers was selected by Green Bay with the No. 85 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. In his rookie year, last season, he struggled to create any on-the-field connection with the Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Last season, Rodgers spent most of his time on special teams and had little to no impact on the offense. The former Clemson star recorded four receptions on eight targets for 45 yards.
This season was almost a near-perfect reflection of last season’s receiving stats, with another four receptions on eight targets, but this time for 50 yards.
Amari Rodgers’ release came shortly after having his fifth fumble of the season against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
With the wide receiver heading to the Texans, he has an opportunity to join a young core and have more of an offensive impact. Also, he’ll have the opportunity to learn from veteran receiver Brandin Cooks while in Houston.
