The NFL is officially part of the streaming game. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the league has officially launched NFL+, a new video streaming subscription service.
“NFL+ – the National Football League’s video streaming subscription service – launches today,” Schefter tweeted. “NFL+ offers access to live out-of-market preseason games, live local and primetime regular season and postseason games (phone & tablet only), and local and national audio for every game.”
Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand revealed that there will be two different pricing tiers for NFL+ streaming packages. The first will be $4.99 per month and $39.99 per year, which would include live local and primetime games. The second tier is $9.99 per month and $79.99 per year, and includes game replays.
Ourand also revealed that the launch of the NFL+ streaming service will mark the end of NFL Game Pass, as Game Pass will no longer be offered in the United States.

The new streaming tool will give fans of teams across the league a brand new way to follow their favorite teams, in addition to other teams. With full game replays being included in the premium packages, fans will be able to go back and watch any game after it has aired, which is an intriguing touch added by the NFL.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is excited about the launch of NFL+, and in a statement via Ourand he revealed that the launch is “an important day in the history of the National Football League.”
