Odds on which NFL team will land wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr
Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will soon have a new NFL home. The Cleveland Browns released Beckham Jr. on Friday after a drama-filled week involving the receiver. On Tuesday, Beckham Jr.’s father posted a video blasting Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield for not throwing to his son.
The video was 11 minutes long. Beckham Jr. was excused from Wednesday and Thursday practices. Through six games this season, Beckham Jr. has 17 receptions on 34 targets for 232 yards, and he is without a touchdown. While his tenure with the Browns did not end on a good note, Beckham Jr. could still potentially bring value to an NFL offense over the rest of the season.
SportsLine has released a list with the best odds to land Beckham Jr. among NFL teams. It is important to note, though, that Beckham Jr. must pass through waivers before becoming a free agent. The NFL waiver order is set in reverse order of the standings, meaning Detroit, Miami, Houston, and Jacksonville have the first chance at picking up Beckham Jr.
Best odds for Beckham Jr.’s next NFL landing spot
New Orleans Saints +300
Las Vegas Raiders +350
Baltimore Ravens +400
New England Patriots +500
Los Angeles Chargers +600
Buffalo Bills +700
Indianapolis Colts +800
San Francisco 49ers +900
Green Bay Packers +1000
Kansas City Chiefs +1200
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +1500
There are undoubtedly a few NFL teams that could use Beckham Jr. right now. Even if he isn’t at the same elite form that he flashed in his early years in the league, he could still provide value and depth to a wide receive room.

The top of the list makes a lot of sense as potential landing spots. The Saints lack a true top end wide receiver, especially now that Michael Thomas will miss the entire season. Las Vegas just lost Henry Ruggs III after he was arrested for a fatal DUI crash. Baltimore could also use more talent in the wide receiver room, as could New England.
Beckham Jr. is likely to prefer a team where he can play a role right away. Wherever that may be, building chemistry and comfortability will be pivotal as he looks for a much needed fresh start in the NFL. That was something that he just wasn’t able to find with Mayfield in Cleveland.
“You can see that the relationship between Baker Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr. is virtually nonexistent,” Stephen A. Smith said on First Take Tuesday morning. “There is no chemistry, there is no cohesiveness, there is no feeding of the ego because we have a quarterback with an ego I believe to be just as big as that wide receiver. I think all of that comes into play.”
There have been five seasons in Beckham Jr.’s NFL career where he has played in at least 12 games. In each of those seasons he had over 1,000 receiving yards. But through his final 13 games in Cleveland over the last two seasons, he had less than 600 yards.
