On3 150 C Mekhi Ragland commits to Oklahoma State

Mekhi Ragland has committed to Oklahoma State. The 6-foot-10 post ultimately chose the Cowboys over a final group that also included Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Georgia State, and DePaul.

Ragland played this summer with the Team Huncho program on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit. He transferred to Bel Aire (KS) Sunrise Christian for his senior season.

Mekhi Ragland Scouting Report

It is hard to miss the size when watching Mekhi Ragland play. He has legit height with nice length and a big frame. And while he is going to have to stay on top of his conditioning, there is a lot of skill in there that makes Ragland so intriguing. At 6-foot-10, he has soft touch with very passer-friendly hands. He can stretch the floor knocking down pick and pop threes, he can also play from the mid-post and elbows where creates advantage with his ability to dribble, pass, and shoot. Speaking of the passing, that might be Ragland’s most intriguing piece. He is able to line up from different areas of the floor and make a decision with the ball in his hands. Ragland delivers on target and on time to teammates. Defensively will have some question marks to work through, but that will come with time. He has a high basketball IQ and a unique basketball disposition.
