On3 Consensus 4-star DL Quency Wiggins narrows list to 3 schools
On3 Consensus four-star defensive lineman Quency Wiggins of Baton Rouge (La.) Madison Prep Academy has narrowed his list to three schools.
The final three schools are LSU, Alabama, and Florida. With the final cut down, Wiggins is no longer looking at schools like Texas and USC.
Wiggins, who is 6-foot-6 and 265 pounds, said his final schools have positives that jump out to him.
Quency Wiggins says LSU is family
“Man, let’s start with LSU, they’re home and they treat me like family,” Quency Wiggins said. “ I love the players and coaches, and I’m used to the environment.”
Wiggins on Alabama
“Boy that’s a hell of a place,” Quency Wiggins said. “I went on my visit and told my coach I can see myself here. Also, me and coach (Pete) Golding have a great relationship.”
Florida showing Quency Wiggins a lot of love
“They have been showing me love since they offered me, and Florida was a school I loved since I was little,” Quency Wiggins said. “The players there hit me up and show love. I can definitely see myself in that Gator blue.”

Wiggins ranks as the No. 67 player overall in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting companies. The On3 Consensus also ranks him as the No.9 defensive lineman in the nation and the fifth-best player in Louisiana.
On3 ranks Wiggins as the No.55 player, the No. 9 defensive lineman and the third-best player in Louisiana.
Wiggins grew up playing football
Quency Wiggins has been playing football since he was 5 years old. He started playing basketball in the ninth grade but gave it up after his sophomore season to focus on football.
Wiggins said his favorite part about playing football is “sacking the quarterback.” He said his teammates and coaches would describe him as a “leader and a team player.”
Wiggins lists sports and video games as his hobbies. He plans on majoring in engineering in college. His parents are Jeffrey Jones and Latoya Wiggins. Wiggins’ siblings are Bryce Wiggins and Alex Davis. His favorite players are NFL defensive lineman Chase Young and Myles Garrett.
