Each week, On3 selects coordinators of the week from each Group of Five conference.
Our choices for Week 4:
AAC — Ryan Osborn, Charlotte DC
Although Charlotte lost to Florida, Osborn’s defense held the Gators to one touchdown and 22 points, including only six points in the second half. The 49ers had seven tackles for loss, posted three sacks and limited Florida to just 1 of 10 on third and fourth downs. Charlotte held Gators standout running backs Montrell Johnson and Trevor Etienne to 94 combined rushing yards on 23 carries aside from one 17-yard run from Etienne.
Conference USA — Zac Alley, Jacksonville State DC
Alley limited Eastern Michigan to 152 yards and 1 of 18 on third and fourth downs during a shutout 21-0 win. The Gamecocks accumulated 13 tackles for loss, six sacks and three takeaways.
MAC — Spence Nowinsky, Ohio DC
For the fourth straight week, Nowinsky held an Ohio opponent to 10 points or fewer. This time, it was during a 38-7 win over Bowling Green. Nowinsky’s defense allowed just 211 yards, held Bowling Green to 2 of 12 on third and fourth downs, secured four takeaways and scored two defensive touchdowns.
Mountain West — Brennan Marion, UNLV OC
Despite being without starting QB Doug Brumfield, UNLV tallied 497 yards and and six touchdowns in a 45-28 win over UTEP. The Rebels racked up 307 rushing yards.

Mountain West — Jay Sawvel, Wyoming DC
Sawvel held Appalachian State, which scored at least 34 points in each of its first three games, to far and away its lowest scoring output of the season during Wyoming’s 22-19 win over the Mountaineers.
Sun Belt — Jason Semore, Marshall DC
During Marshall’s 24-17 win over Virginia Tech, the Thundering Herd defense limited the Hokies to 3 of 16 on third and fourth downs and held Virginia Tech to just 10 points until midway through the fourth quarter. The defense locked up the win for Marshall with a late fourth down stop.
