NFL releases full playoff schedule
The NFL has released their schedule for the Wild Card Round of the playoffs, with games kicking off on Saturday and finishing on Monday night. As the No. 1 seeds in their respective conferences, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles have a bye week and will play the lowest-seeded Wild Card Round winner in the Divisional Round the following week.
With the Green Bay Packers losing to the Detroit Lions in the final game of the regular season on Sunday night, the field of 14 teams were set after a wild end to the regular season with the Seattle Seahawks advancing as the No. 7 seed in the NFC.
In the AFC, the Patriots needed the Browns to beat the Steelers and the Jets to defeat the Dolphins in order to advance — only to watch as both the Steelers and Dolphins won and Miami advanced to the playoffs. New England finished with an 8-9 record as the ninth-place team in the conference, while the Steelers finished eighth.
