Across the NFL, teams have started their rookie minicamp, and for the Philadelphia Eagles, on Friday, fans of the team got their first glimpse of a duo of former college teammates donning their new Eagles jerseys. Former Georgia Bulldogs Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean made their way into the Philadelphia facility together in shirt and shell for minicamp. And as you can see from the video, both young men were in good spirits and ready to get to work.

The Eagles made a huge deal with the Houston Texans, sending the Nos. 15, 124, 162, and 166 overall picks to Houston for the No. 13 overall selection to take Davis, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. In his four seasons with the Bulldogs, Davis emerged as one of the top defensive players in the entire nation. The star defensive lineman was the recipient of the Chuck Bednarik Award, presented annually to the best defensive player in college football.

The Eagles took Dean off the board early in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft on Friday night, picking him No. 83 overall. In his four seasons with the Bulldogs, Dean elevated his game consistently, leading an exceptional Georgia defense as one of the top linebackers in the entire nation. Last season, Dean realized his dream of bringing a championship to Georgia, helping to end a drought that spanned over 40 years when the Bulldogs defeated Alabama in the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

The duo were a big part of Georgia’s national championship run this past season. Davis was a run-stopping monster on the interior of the defensive line; whereas Dean was the captain and quarterback of the defense, getting his teammates to line up and keeping them in line when need be. Davis and Dean look to take what they learn at the college level after winning a national championship to the NFL. And if they can do so, they will help the Eagles knock off last year’s NFC East champion, the Dallas Cowboys, on their way to the playoffs and possibly the Super Bowl.
