Pittsburgh Steelers release Friday injury report for Monday Night Football
The Pittsburgh Steelers have released their Friday injury report ahead of a Monday Night Football matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger returned to practice after missing Thursday due to a pectoral/right shoulder injury.
Monday could be the final game for Roethlisberger at Heinz Field, as it is rumored he will retire after this season. He has spent the entirety of his 18-year career in Pittsburgh and ranks as the franchise’s all-time leading passer with 63,721 yards and 416 touchdowns. He won Super Bowls in 2005 and 2008.
So far this season, the veteran has passed for 3,373 yards, 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions. The Steelers (7-7-1) are currently outside of the playoffs with little hope of getting in.
Although Roethlisberger made his return, Pittsburgh still had several players held out of practice Friday. Center Kendrick Green (calf), linebacker Buddy Johnson (foot) and punter Pressley Harvin III (personal) have not practiced all week, putting their Week 17 status in serious doubt.
The Steelers also have several players on their COVID-19 reserves list. Linebacker Joe Schobert and defensive lineman Chris Wormley were put on the list Friday. They join cornerback Arthur Maulet, who has played in all 15 games. He has 42 tackles and a forced fumble on the season.

Offensive tackle Zach Banner, defensive end Isaiah Buggs, linebacker Devin Bush and running back Anthony McFarland Jr. are also all on the COVID-19 reserves list.
On the Cleveland side, cornerback Troy Hill (knee), safety John Johnson III (hamstring) and center JC Tretter (knee) all did not practice Friday. Running back Kareem Hunt (ankle) returned after missing Thursday.
The Browns are a spot below Pittsburgh in the AFC standings, making their postseason hopes even more slim. Kickoff for the Monday Night Football contest between the Steelers and Cleveland is set for 8:15 p.m. ET at Heinz Field.
Following this game, Pittsburgh will close the regular season out against Baltimore on the road.
