The Pittsburgh Steelers released their Thursday injury report ahead of their Week Five game against the Denver Broncos. Backups Drew Lock and Mason Rudolph are preparing for a possible meeting, however, Ben Roethlisberger is getting better by the day.

Beyond quarterback, the Pittsburgh Steelers are dealing with a number of key injuries, which could cause problems this weekend. While some players are likely to play, questions remain about who will be at 100 percent and who will not.

The best news of the week for Steelers fans is the return of Ben Roethlisberger to the full participants’ list. The starting QB has struggled through Pittsburgh’s 1-3 start with four touchdowns and four interceptions along with a 64% completion rating. Wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster is also looking more likely to play on Sunday.

Steelers injury report

Did not practice – CB Cam Sutton (Groin), OL Rashaad Coward (Ankle), DT Carlos Davis (Knee)

The Steelers missed a few key players on both sides of the ball during Thursday’s practice. Cam Sutton is a valuable member of the secondary and Davis is a reserve lineman. Offensive lineman Rashaad Coward is new to the DNP list after a limited practice on Wednesday.

Limited participants – WR Chase Claypool (Hamstring), WR James Washington (Groin)

Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool is still limited but played last week against the Green Bay Packers. Now, wideout James Washington also joins Claypool on the limited list. Washington is one receiving yard shy of 100 through four games. Claypool has 211 yards on 15 catches – no scores yet.

Full participants – QB Ben Roethlisberger (Pectoral/Hip), WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (Ribs), DT Cameron Heyward (Neck), OL Chukwuma Okorafor (Concussion), OL Kevin Dotson (Hip), OL Trai Turner (Illness)

Chukwuma Okorafor made his return as a full participant on Wednesday. Ben Roethlisberger, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Cameron Heyward, Trai Turner and Kevin Dotson were all limited this week but practicing fully on Thursday. All that is great news for the Steelers and Roethlisberger looks more likely to play now as well.
