Previewing the loaded Pylon Atlanta 7v7 event
EMERSON, GA. – The 7-on-7 circuit takes another step into relevance as temperatures begin to rise around the nation. The inkling of springtime is upon us.
The weekend is full of intrigue. There is a loaded slate taking place over in New Orleans for Battle’s event on Saturday and Sunday.
The other headline event this weekend takes place in Atlanta (well Emerson) Georgia. The Atlanta suburb will play host to the annual Pylon event on Saturday and Sunday.
Teams from Alabama, California, Georgia, Michigan, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida, and Virginia among other stats will converge for the event.
South Florida Express bringing star-studded lineup to Pylon Atlanta
South Florida Express travels with star power wherever it goes. The South Florida program will have a litany of talented Florida stars and a few out-of-state ringers to boast a potentially dynamic lineup.
The wide receiver group is headlined by five-star wide receivers Jeremiah Smith and Joshisa Trader. Smith is the No. 2 overall prospect in On3’s 2024 Industry Rankings.
Joining SFE on the defensive side of the ball is the No. 36 overall prospect in the Industry Rankings Peyton Woodyard, a four-star safety committed to Georgia.
Four-stars Stacy Gage, Winston Watkins and Ryan Mack are also standouts. SFE’s offensive will be led by 2024 quarterback Cedrick Bailey, Smith and Trader’s high school quarterback from Chaminade-Madonna. Bailey holds double-digit offers of his own.
New names that are on an upward trajectory are Jadyn Glasser, a 2024 quarterback from Venice (Fla.) and 2025 safety Jermichael Gillis. Gillis already holds multiple Power Five offers.
Cam Newton’s C1N team to defend home state with a strong young lineup
C1N’s ‘Red’ or 15u team will take part in the proceedings this weekend. Some of the known regulars of that team include a lot big names of the future.
The Newton-lead team boasts a group of heavily recruited rising juniors. Top 10 overall prospect in the class of 2025 cornerback Jontae Gilbert, Ethan Barbour, Dylan Lewis and Shamar Arnoux are the headliners.
New names like Peyton Zachary, Aaron Gregory, Sabby Meassick and Nalin Scott will also make appearances.
The C1N ‘Black’ team features a strong lineup as well. 2025 quarterback Luke Nickel will be under center. He has multiple offers early on.

TSP is a newer program in the state of Georgia. The program has a lineup of some young names beginning to buzz around the state.
2024 linebacker Justin Logan, 2025 quarterback EJ Colson, defensive back Trajen Greco, Bryce Clavon, Justin Content, Caleb Goodloe, Jovanni McGee, Miles Moore, Devin Henderson and Cedric Franklin all hold multiple offers.
MaxEx boasting key weapons
The Michigan-based team will have some star-studded wideouts this weekend. Stanford commit Jamir Benjamin will take part.
MaxEx will also have four-star linebacker Jeremiah Beasley, four-star Michigan safety commit Jacob Oden guiding their defense.
24K brings a solid young team
24K will have its ‘Black’ squad in town. The leaders appear to be Terek McCant, a running back with 15 D1 offers. 2024 linebacker Josiah Booker holds multiple offers including Duke, Purdue and Marshall. Ayden Pouncey is a 2026 athlete with two offers at the moment. Pouncey could be a name to know in the coming years.
97 Octane led by big-time WR
The Maryland-based program will have On3 three-star wide receiver Elijah Moore as one of its main weapons this weekend.
Moore has national offers from Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Oregon, Florida State, USC and nearly 20 others.
