New Palestine (Ind.) High 2026 offensive lineman Brock Brownfield announced his commitment to head coach Barry Odom and Purdue on Tuesday morning.

The 6-foot-3 1/2, 270-pound Brownfield chose the Boilers over opportunities from Michigan State, West Virginia and Indiana among others. Offensive line coach Vance Vice was the lead recruiter.

“Purdue’s new staff and I just fit,” Brownfield told On3. “I love their culture and how hard they work. Coach Vice and Henson will develop me in ways I couldn’t imagine!”

Brownfield visited West Lafayette several times during his process.

“How great the new staff is impacting their culture into Purdue!” Brownfield added regarding what else stood out.

A look at what Purdue is getting in Brock Brownfield

On3 tabs Brownfield as the nation’s No. 41 interior offensive lineman and No. 7 overall prospect in the state. He helped New Palestine win a state championship during the fall playing on both sides of the ball.

“Brock is one of the most physically and mentally intense players we have ever had here,” New Palestine head coach Kyle Ralph said. He played offensive line at North Carolina.

“His motor, work ethic and effort are off the charts. Size and mobility are all there to be an elite interior offensive lineman at the next level. Climbs to second level well and powerful at line of scrimmage. Good in pass protection as well in lots of different settings since he’s played tackle, guard and center for us at some point.

“Elite in the weight room especially in the explosive lifts and has our power clean record with a 345-pound lift. Huge in-state get for Purdue, loved their staff and the new vision of the program.”

Brownfield becomes commit No. 5 for Odom and the Boilers in the 2026 class.
