The Cowboys are adding to their strong coaching staff. According to Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network, Dallas is adding former Texans wide receivers coach Robert Prince to their staff.

“Cowboys are expected to hire former Texans receivers coach Robert Prince, according to a league source,” tweeted Wilson. “Previously, with the Detroit Lions. Should provide strong coaching voice for talented receiving corps.”

Last season, Prince spent the year with the Texans as their wide receivers coach. Prior, he spent an extended period of time with the Lions, holding the positions of wide receivers coach and acting head coach over 2014-2020 in Detroit.

Now, Prince will get the opportunity to coach one of the best receiving corps in the entire NFL. With stars like Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb on the roster, Dallas is readying for another fantastic offensive season in 2022.

Future of Kellen Moore with the Dallas Cowboys revealed

Coming over to the Cowboys, it looks like Robert Prince will get the opportunity to coach with Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.

Following a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the Miami Dolphins are in talks with San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel to become the next head coach, the Cowboys are expected to retain Moore in 2022. According to the Dallas Morning News’ Michael Gehlken, the franchise expected the return and now keeps both coordinators after head coaching interviews.

Kellen Moore joins defensive coordinator Dan Quinn as Cowboys assistants who took head coaching interviews throughout the offseason but ultimately Dallas retains both under Mike McCarthy. Both ended the season as candidates for the Pro Football Writers Association Assistant Coach of the Year award, which went to Quinn.

The Dallas Cowboys now start the preparation process for the 2022 season, which features plenty returning talent and now a full compliment of assistant coaches who can provide continuity as the franchise looks to become a Super Bowl contender.
