The Odell Beckham Jr. sweepstakes came down to the Green Bay Packers and the Los Angeles Rams. It was a tough decision — but one contract was substantially more money than the other, according to a report.

Green Bay apparently only offered the former Cleveland Browns star the veteran minimum, according to NFL reporter Jordan Schultz. The Rams, meanwhile, offered him a contract worth $4.25 million after incentives, Schultz reported.

“It’s a win-win and a monster move for an already stacked offense,” Schultz tweeted Friday afternoon.

Schultz previously reported that when Beckham was deciding between Los Angeles and Green Bay, he never got the impression the Packers were “all-in.” Green Bay was reported to be Beckham’s No. 1 choice.

Now officially signed with the Rams, he’ll join an ultra-talented wide receiver room. He’ll play alongside Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods, adding yet another weapon for quarterback Matthew Stafford. As if the Rams’ passing game wasn’t potent enough — it ranks third in the NFL with 296.3 yards per game — it just got even better.

Fans will get their first look at Beckham in a Rams uniform on Monday Night Football this week when Los Angeles takes on the San Francisco 49ers.

The details of Odell Beckham Jr.’s contract with the Rams

Beckham took a significant pay cut to play for the Rams and coach Sean McVey.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Beckham signed a one-year deal with Los Angeles worth up to $4.25 million. But the majority of his contract seems to be centered around team-based incentives.

Beckham received a $500,000 signing bonus and a base salary of just $750,000 for the remainder of the season. Beckham can earn the rest of the $3 million through team-based incentives based on how the Rams finish both the regular season and postseason.

“Odell Beckham Jr. wanted to be a free agent and he was willing to give up money to do it,” Rapoport tweeted. “Based on team achievements — the last of which is $500K with a Super Bowl win — he can earn more with the Rams than he was due with the Browns.”

The news of Beckham’s decision came a little more than a week after the Rams added eight-time Pro Bowl linebacker Von Miller in a trade with the Denver Broncos. Shortly after his arrival in Los Angeles, Miller began courting Beckham to the Rams with an Instagram post that read, in part, “Come to the @Rams so we can chase this ring together!!!”
