WATCH: Rookie Christian Watson scores first NFL touchdown
Green Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Christian Watson found the end zone today for the first time in his rookie season on Sunday against the New England Patriots. He took a jet sweep handoff from quarterback Aaron Rodgers and raced down the right sideline untouched for the 15-yard touchdown run. After he scored, of course he had to make a Lambeau Leap to celebrate.
Check it out here.
He’s been dealing with a hamstring issue lately, but clearly the former North Dakota State product looks to be running at full speed. The speedy wideout was a full practice participant on Thursday and Friday.
Green Bay traded up to select Watson with the 34th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft this offseason. He’s been one of the many receivers the Packers hoped would step this season following the departure of five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams, who was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders.
