WATCH: Russell Wilson connects with Jerry Jeudy for first touchdown with Broncos
Denver Broncos fans were treated to Russell Wilson‘s first touchdown with the franchise in spectacular fashion. Floating the ball toward the sideline, wideout Jerry Jeudy hauled the pass in, shaking off rookie Coby Bryant for a 67-yard touchdown.
The touchdown reception was the second longest touchdown reception for the Broncos in the past three seasons. The longest during that span also belongs to Jeudy, which came in Week 17 in 2020 when current Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock hooked up with the former Alabama standout for 92 yards. That was also the last time Jeudy scored a touchdown before Monday.
Denver trails the Seahawks on the road 17-13 heading into the halftime locker room. Catch the exciting finish to Wilson’s return to Seattle live on ESPN.
Denver Broncos, Russell Wilson agree on 5-year, $245 million extension
“Broncos Country, Let’s Ride,” said Russell Wilson after inking his gigantic extension with the AFC franchise, probably.
While we’re just guessing that would be Wilson’s reaction to signing a huge deal in Denver, there’s no guessing where he’ll be for the next seven seasons — the former Seattle Seahawks star signed a huge extension that’ll keep him in Denver for the better part of the next decade on Thursday.

One week before the season kicks off, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported the breaking news.
“Breaking: Broncos and Russell Wilson just reached agreement on a five-year, $245 million contract extension that includes $165 million guaranteed, sources tell ESPN,” Schefter tweeted on Thursday. “Deal now ties Wilson to Denver for seven total years and $296 million.
“Another massive QB deal in the books.”
Additionally, Field Yates of ESPN pointed out that Wilson’s deal now makes him the second highest paid quarterback in the NFL, in terms of annual value.
“The top-5 highest paid QB in terms of average annual value now: 1. Aaron Rodgers: $50.271M. 2. Russell Wilson: $49M. 3. Kyler Murray: $46.1M. 4. Deshaun Watson: $46M. 5. Patrick Mahomes: $45M,” tweeted Yates.
