The former Penn State star dominated on Sunday afternoon and showed everyone that he’s still got the same juice that at one point, propelled him to becoming one of the best running backs in the league. His career has been slowed by numerous injuries, but it’s safe to say Barkley looks better than ever before.
He tore his ACL in 2020, which sidelined him for all but two games of that season. In 2021, Barkley suffered an ankle injury which limited his productivity for much of that season. He had 162 carries for 593 rushing yards and two touchdowns, averaging 3.7 yards per carry.
His first season in the NFL, the former Penn State star exploded onto the scene, racking up 2,028 yards from scrimmage and 15 touchdowns. He’s had trouble regaining that form because of injuries, but it’s safe to say he’s pretty close to his elite form by the looks of Sunday’s performance. His longest carry of the game was a 68-yarder he ripped off down the left sideline.
