South Florida making change at defensive coordinator
Florida isn’t the only state school making changes to its coaching staff today.
South Florida is firing defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer, sources tell On3.
Under Spencer, the Bulls, who are 2-9, are ranked 125th nationally in total defense. They’ve given up at least 45 points in each of their last three games (losses to Houston, Cincinnati and Tulane).
Spencer, 57, was in his second season at South Florida after stints as a coordinator at FAU (2019), Charlotte (2018) and Oklahoma State (2013-17).
