Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola four-star running back Taevion Swint narrowed his list of top schools down to eight Thursday afternoon. He announced the news on Twitter.

The list includes Florida, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Rutgers, Tennessee, Texas and UCF.

Swint is the No. 49 overall prospect and No. 7 running back in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 7 player in Florida.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Florida is the favorite to land 5-foot-10, 175-pounder with the Gators holding a 54.9% chance.

In a recent interview with Chad Simmons, Swint said that the in-state schools have been after him hard. He hasn’t picked up offers from Florida State or UCF yet but has visited each school.

While there are some other out-of-state schools in his list, staying in Florida at one of the in-state schools seems to be the move he plans on making.

“All four in-state schools are high on my list,” Swint told Simmons. “Location will be a factor for me. I want to stay home and go to college somewhere in my home state. I see myself at Florida, Florida State, Miami or UCF when I make my decision.”

Swint’s announcement comes a few days after he visited UCF for the sixth time. He’s visited the Knights more than any other schools up to this point.

Swint currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $57K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
