Bijan Robinson identifies Jalen Hurts as NFL quarterback he wants to team up with
Bijan Robinson heads into Thursday night as one of the highest-rated prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft. A fantastic career in Austin with the Texas Longhorns will have teams chomping at the bit to select him, even if it’s not near the top. Playing running back is expected to hurt Robinson’s stock, even with all of his talent.
Whoever decides to ignore the trend and select Robinson with a first-round pick will be getting quite the player. If there is one team Robinson hopes does pick him, it’s the Philadelphia Eagles. He revealed Jalen Hurts as the NFL quarterback he would most want to play with.
“Jalen Hurts,” Robinson said.
Robinson joining an already lethal Philadelphia rushing attack would be a scary sight for the rest of the league. The Eagles finish fifth in total rushing yards and first in rushing touchdowns. Hurts himself went for 760 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Add in somebody with Robinson who is fresh off 1,580 yards at 6.1 yards per carry and 13 touchdowns and you have a cheat code unlocked.
Philadelphia possesses two first-round picks this year, with the first being No. 10 overall. If Howie Roseman cannot stomach selecting a running back there, No. 30 is when the Eagles next pick. That may be too little too late though and a trade to move up might be required.

There was a top-30 visit between Philadelphia and Robinson. He seemingly had a great time in the City of Brotherly Love, building a relationship with everyone in the building. Playing with Hurts would be great on the field but Robinson loved hanging out with people off of it as well.
“It was great,” Robinson said. “Both teams that I was with… Just building relationships with the coaches, the support staff, the GM. Even that janitor. The janitor was super cool too. An awesome visit and for me, I pride myself in relationships and building those relationships and understanding who people are… It was a good time there but obviously, I can’t choose. So, Thursday, we’ll have to see what happens.”
Thursday will be the determining factor if Robinson gets his wish. Getting into a run-first offense would be ideal for him but Philadelphia would be another level. We will have to see whether or not Roseman goes away from recent conventional wisdom or not and selects a running back within the top 10 picks.
