It’s rare that either Tom Brady or Michael Jordan are in the same place as someone that can equal their accomplishments and legendary status. But that’s exactly what happened Sunday afternoon, when both were in attendance at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.

Cameras captured the two icons embracing at the event, which also attracted several other star athletes across a large variety of sports. In the video, Jordan appears to say, “What’s up, GOAT? What’s happening?” to Brady before the two shared a brief hug.

“The real (GOAT),” Brady wrote in a caption on the video posted to his social media.

Tom Brady and Michael Jordan are both widely regarded as the best player in the history of their respective sports, with a combined 13 championships between them. Brady barely has the former Chicago Bulls star edged out, as he has won seven Super Bowls, the most of any player in NFL history. Jordan, on the other hand, led the Bulls to two separate “threepeats” (1991-93 and 1996-98) in the NBA Finals, with a brief gap in between where he played professional baseball.

Jordan wasn’t the only sports legend to pose with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, as Brady also connected with soccer star David Beckham and British racing driver Lewis Hamilton. The four masters of their crafts are worth a combined $2.59 billion, according to Front Office Sports. Altogether, the group has won seven Super Bowls, six Premier League titles, six NBA Championships and seven F1 world titles.

Brady is newly out of retirement and preparing for his 23rd season in the NFL. After winning a seventh Super Bowl in 2020, he’s attempting to go for an eighth this year with the Bucs. Tampa Bay fell a couple games shy of that goal this past season, losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams by a field goal in the divisional round.
