On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Top 2023 uncommitted prospects
With only weeks until the Early Signing Period, many of the nation’s top recruits have announced their commitments. At the moment though, 12 of the top 50 and 17 of the top 100 prospects in the 2023 On3 Consensus are uncommitted.
As the clock winds down until the third week in December, here is where things stand in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with top 25 uncommitted players at this time.
Five-star EDGE Keon Keeley
On3 Consensus: No. 8
School: Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Alabama 49.4%, Ohio State 41.2%, Florida 7.8%
On3 NIL Valuation: $259K
The Skinny: It seems like a two-team race between the Buckeyes and the Crimson Tide for Keeley, a former Notre Dame commit. The Florida native took official visits to both programs this fall, as well as an unofficial visit to Ohio State on Sept. 24. According to On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons, a commitment is likely coming after the end of Keeley’s senior season. Simmons added that the Gators are still trying to contend for Keeley’s pledge.
Five-star CB Desmond Ricks
On3 Consensus: No. 12
School: Chesapeake (Va.) IMG Academy
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: LSU 84%, Alabama 6.5%, Florida 3.3%
On3 NIL Valuation: $240K
The Skinny: Ricks is announcing his commitment on Dec. 23 and choosing between the Crimson Tide, Gators and Tigers. He is taking an official visit to each program in December. Following LSU’s win over Alabama, buzz of Ricks committing to the Tigers grew very strong. Per Chad Simmons, the Tigers are “the team to beat” as of now. However, Ricks was at Florida this past weekend and will be at Alabama for the Iron Bowl ahead of his official visit. This recruitment may come down to the very end for Ricks, who plans to enroll early.
Five-star ATH Nyckoles Harbor
On3 Consensus: No. 13
School: Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Michigan 35.2%, LSU 29.9%, South Carolina 23.3%,
On3 NIL Valuation: $307K
The Skinny: Harbor has already taken official visits to the Wolverines and Gamecocks. Additionally, he has officials to the Tigers, Maryland and Miami scheduled for December. The talented two-way player plans to sign in February, so there is a lot of time until his commitment. Michigan and South Carolina are currently in strong position, but Harbor’s recruitment may shift following his December official visits. He told Chad Simmons that he is “right in the middle” of the decision-making process.
Five-star DL James Smith
On3 Consensus: No. 15
School: Montgomery (Ala.) Carver
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Alabama 40.5%, Georgia 28.5%, Auburn 23.8%
On3 NIL Valuation: $213K
The Skinny: Smith is yet to take an official visit to the Crimson Tide, but has been to Tuscaloosa six times. He was last there on Oct 22. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs and Tigers have received official visits from Smith, however, he has not been to Athens since June. Regarding Auburn, the program has gotten three visits from him this season, most recently on Oct. 1. An important factor in Smith’s recruitment is high school teammate Qua Russaw. The two have plans to play together on the next level.
Five-star OT Samson Okunlola
On3 Consensus: No. 16
School: Brockton (Mass.) Thayer Academy
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Miami 84.9%, Florida 10.9%, Michigan State 1%
On3 NIL Valuation: $221K
The Skinny: The Hurricanes have been trending for Okunlola since the summer. He is getting gradually closer to a decision. Multiple programs are in contention for his commitment including Miami, Florida, Michigan State, Alabama and others. Okunlola, who has used three of his official visits, plans to use his final two officials before announcing a decision. A top five may be coming soon.
Five-star LB Anthony Hill
On3 Consensus: No. 18
School: Denton (Texas) Ryan
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Texas 87.5%, Texas A&M 7.9%, Oklahoma 1.7%
On3 NIL Valuation: $241K
The Skinny: Hill committed to the Aggies on July 30 before backing off his pledge to the program on Nov. 7. Five days later, he took an unofficial visit to the Longhorns. It was between Texas and Texas A&M for Hill’s commitment the first time around. Now, it seems like the Longhorns may land the nation’s top linebacker.
Five-star EDGE Qua Russaw
On3 Consensus: No. 22
School: Montgomery (Ala.) Carver
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Alabama 74%, Auburn 14.6%, Florida 4.5%, Georgia 3%
On3 NIL Valuation: $201K
The Skinny: Russaw and Smith seem like a package deal for a school. They have taken numerous visits together to programs including Alabama, Auburn and Georgia. The Crimson Tide have a commanding lead for Russaw’s commitment, according to the RPM. Keeping Russaw home would be a massive win for Alabama. It may also mean getting Smith, the state’s No. 1 prospect.
Five-star EDGE Samuel M’Pemba
On3 Consensus: No. 23
School: Saint Louis (Mo.) IMG Academy
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Georgia 93.7%, Miami 1.5%, Missouri 1%
On3 NIL Valuation: $209K
The Skinny: M’Pemba has been trending towards Georgia for the past few months. The Bulldogs are in good position for his commitment, especially since the five-star has built a close relationship with outside linebackers coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe. M’Pemba recently took his official visit to Georgia on Nov. 4. He has two more scheduled to LSU (Nov. 18) and Miami (Nov. 26). Additionally, the Missouri native went to Tennessee on Oct. 14 for an official.
5-star TE Duce Robinson
On3 Consensus: No. 25
School: Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: USC 56.7%, Georgia 33.3%, Texas 6.2%
On3 NIL Valuation: $194K
The Skinny: Since the summer, Robinson was trending towards the Trojans. However, the Bulldogs are making a strong push for his commitment. The five-star pass catcher is in no rush to make a decision, yet schools are working hard to gain his pledge. Alabama, Georgia and Texas have all hosted Robinson for official visits, while USC got one back in June. Coaches from the Bulldogs and Longhorns were recently in Arizona, as well. The Trojans are still leading for Robinson, but this one will likely be close until the end.
5-star DL Matayo Uiagalelei
On3 Consensus: No. 26
School: Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Ohio State 48%, USC 31%, Oregon 16.2%, Alabama 2.3%
On3 NIL Valuation: $211K
The Skinny: Uiagalelei’s recruitment seems to be a three-team race between the Buckeyes, Ducks and Trojans. All three schools received official visits in June, as well as unofficial visits this season. Ohio State seems to be in the lead, but USC has been making up ground to keep one of California’s top prospects home. However, there is a wild card. That is because Uiagalelei reached out to Georgia in October.
5-star EDGE Damon Wilson
On3 Consensus: No. 31
School: Venice (Fla.)
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Ohio State 69.8%, Georgia 21.2%, Miami 6.9%, Alabama 1.4%
On3 NIL Valuation: $194K
The Skinny: Georgia and Ohio State seem to have emerged as the frontrunners for Wilson. Both schools received official visits this fall. Wilson was back in Athens for an unofficial visit on Nov. 5, while he is taking an unofficial to the Buckeyes on Nov. 26. Chad Simmons shared that the Buckeyes and Bulldogs have been “going back and forth for over a month.”
4-star S Javien Toviano
On3 Consensus: No. 41
School: Arlington (Texas) Martin
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: LSU 95%, Texas 1.5%
On3 NIL Valuation: $181K
The Skinny: LSU has been the leader for Toviano for multiple weeks. He took an official visit to Baton Rouge on Sept. 10 and was back for the Tigers’ win over Alabama on Nov. 5. Even though Toviano spent last weekend at Texas, LSU is in very good shape for his commitment. Toviano does not share much about his recruitment or future plans. However, his constant presence on the Tigers’ campus is a very telling sign of where he is leaning.
4-star EDGE Tomarrion Parker
On3 Consensus: No. 79
School: Phenix City (Ala.) Central
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Clemson 62%, Florida 22.1%, Penn State 11.8%
NIL Valuation: $119K
The Skinny: Parker is announcing his commitment on Dec. 21 and choosing between Clemson, Penn State, Tennessee and Texas A&M. A former Nittany Lions commit, the Alabama native is currently trending towards the Tigers. He was back on campus for an official visit on Oct. 21. It marked his second visit to Clemson in just over a month. He told Chad Simmons following the official that “this visit definitely put them over the top.”
4-star DL Daevin Hobbs
On3 Consensus: No. 81
School: Concord (N.C.) Jay M Robinson
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Tennessee 29%, Alabama 24.3%, Georgia 19.2%, North Carolina 15.8%, Ohio State 10.3%.
NIL Valuation: $113K
The Skinny: Hobbs has a top six of Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State and Tennessee. His commitment is scheduled for Nov. 25. The North Carolina native took official visits to the Bulldogs, Crimson Tide, and Volunteers this fall. According to Chad Simmons, the battle for Hobbs’ pledge is between Georgia and Tennessee. However, the Tar Heels have also received an official visit. Additionally, the Buckeyes and Wolverines recently entered the race for one of the nation’s top defensive lineman.

4-star EDGE Rueben Bain
On3 Consensus: No. 86
School: Miami (Fla.) Miami Central
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Miami 64.6%, Auburn 30.1%, Alabama 1.5%, Florida State 1%
On3 NIL Valuation: $121K
The Skinny: The race for Bain’s commitment is a close one right now. Alabama, Auburn, Florida State and Miami will all receive unofficial visits from the Florida native by the end of the season. Louisville got two unofficials from Bain in less than two months. Oklahoma is in the picture too, as Bain was in Norman for an official visit on June 3. The previously mentioned schools comprise Bain’s top six. His recruitment may come down to the wire, but it seems like Auburn and Miami are a step ahead.
4-star CB Rodrick Pleasant
On3 Consensus: No. 94
School: Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: USC 84.3%, Oregon 5.6%, California 3.9%, Boston College 2.4%
On3 NIL Valuation: $133K
The Skinny: Pleasant’s recruitment is an interesting one. He has made seven unofficial visits to the Trojans, most recently on Oct. 1. The Ducks are receiving an official visit on Nov. 19, while the Golden Bears and Eagles already got one on Oct. 22 and June 10, respectively. Pleasant told Chad Simmons he is in no hurry to make his commitment. The California native added that multiple schools are under consideration for his last two officials, including Miami, Michigan and Penn State.
4-star EDGE Tausili Akana
On3 Consensus: No. 97
School: Kahuku (Hi.) Skyridge
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Texas 19%, Texas A&M 16.6%, Oklahoma 11.4%, LSU 9.5%, Nebraska 7.2%,
On3 NIL Valuation: $115K
The Skinny: Akana has taken four official visits this season. They were to LSU, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M. He recently released his top 10 schools, which includes the aforementioned programs, as well Alabama, Notre Dame, Penn State and Tennessee among others. When he spoke with Chad Simmons, Akana seemed focused on schools in the SEC and Big 12. He added that relationships are a large factor in his recruiting process.
4-star DL Jordan Hall
On3 Consensus: No. 103
School: Jacksonville (Fla.) Westside
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Georgia 85.7%, Florida 4.5%, Alabama 3.2%, Florida State 1.2%, LSU 1.2%
On3 NIL Valuation: $114K
The Skinny: Hall has announced a top five of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU and Ohio State. The Florida native completed an official visit with the Crimson Tide last month and has scheduled officials to the Tigers and Buckeyes in November, as well as the Gators in December. While the Bullodogs have a commanding lead in the RPM, Alabama may be a team to watch. He told Chad Simmons that his official to Tuscaloosa was “one of the best visits I’ve ever been on.”
4-star IOL Markis Deal
On3 Consensus: No. 104
School: Garland (Texas) Naaman Forest
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: TCU 76.1%, Texas 8.8%, Georgia 3.4%, USC 2.8%, Arkansas 2.1%
On3 NIL Valuation: $109K
The Skinny: Deal has visited the Longhorns seven times. However, it is Texas’ Big 12 rival in Fort Worth that is trending for his commitment. The Horned Frogs received an official visit from Deal on May 20. According to Sam Spiegelman, this may be a three-team race between Georgia, TCU and Texas. Things may change around the Early Signing Period or National Signing Day, but Sonny Dykes and his staff should feel good about the Horned Frogs’ position for Deal.
4-star OT Spencer Fano
On3 Consensus: No. 150
School: Provo (Utah) Timpview
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Oregon 85.7%, Utah 5.7%, Michigan 3.2%, USC 1.4%
On3 NIL Valuation: $110K
The Skinny: Fano is announcing his commitment on Dec. 6 and choosing between BYU, Michigan, Oregon and Utah. The Ducks, Utes and Wolverines have all received official visits from Fano, who was in Ann Arbor on Oct. 28. At the moment, Oregon seems primed to add Fano to the Pac-12’s top recruiting class. He told Jonathan Charles of Scoop Duck that team culture, relationships with coaches and academics will be key factors in his decision.
4-star EDGE Princewill Umanmielen
On3 Consensus: No. 169
School: Manor (Texas)
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Houston 36.5%, SMU 32%, TCU 2.5%
On3 NIL Valuation: $13.6K
The Skinny: Umanmielen holds offers from Big Ten and SEC schools, but it seems he will play his college football in Texas, according to the RPM. As a result, a lot of things can change in Umanmielen’s recruitment. But if Houston or SMU can land a top-200 prospect, it would be a massive win for one of the AAC programs.
4-star S Isaac Smith
On3 Consensus: No. 172
School: Fulton (Miss.) Itawamba Agricultural
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: LSU 90.8%, Texas A&M 2.7%, Ole Miss 1.7%, Vanderbilt 1.5%
On3 NIL Valuation: $16.6K
The Skinny: Smith’s recruitment has heated up in the last couple months. He currently holds 25 offers, but the Tigers seem to be in the driver’s seat for his commitment. Sources told On3’s Sam Spiegelman that LSU is a “dream school” for the Mississippi native. Spiegelman also said that the Tigers are a “team to watch” in his recruitment. Smith was in Baton Rouge on Oct. 22 for LSU’s upset win over then-undefeated Ole Miss.
4-star WR Karmello English
On3 Consensus: No. 176
School: Phenix City (Ala.) Central
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Auburn 95.1%, Kentucky 1.8%, Michigan 1.5%
On3 NIL Valuation: $18.6K
The Skinny: English committed to the Tigers on July 4 before backing off his pledge on Sept. 14. Two schools to watch in his recruitment are the Wildcats and the Wolverines. Both programs received an official visit from English in June. Additionally, Michigan got an unofficial from the Alabama native on Oct. 15.
4-star ATH Mikal Harrison-Pilot
On3 Consensus: No. 181
School: Temple (Texas)
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: TCU 64.9%, Texas 27.8%, California 1.5%
On3 NIL Valuation: $28K
The Skinny: At one point, the Longhorns were leading for Harrison-Pilot. Now, it looks like the Horned Frogs may land another talented in-state prospect. TCU’s undefeated season looks to be paying dividends on the recruiting trail, as Harrison-Pilot holds 29 offers from some of the top programs in the country. However, On3’s Sam Spiegelman reported that Houston is a team to watch for the four-star.
4-star CB Damari Brown
On3 Consensus: No. 183
School: Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Miami 90.1%, Clemson 4.4%, Florida State 2.3%, Alabama 1.6%
On3 NIL Valuation: $19.6K
The Skinny: Brown will be deciding between the Crimson Tide, Hurricanes, Seminoles and Tigers. All four programs have received an official visit from the Sunshine State native. Miami got the most recent one on the weekend of Nov. 5. Brown told Izubee Charles of CaneSport that the Hurricanes are contacting him “every day.” He added that he is intrigued by opportunities both on and off the field at Miami.
