Twins Cameron and Cayden Boozer commit to Duke Blue Devils
The Boozer family legacy at Duke continues: Twenty-five years after their father Carlos Boozer began his career for the Blue Devils, twin brothers and 2025 prospects Cayden Boozer and Cameron Boozer have committed to Duke.
The brothers chose the program in Durham over Miami, Kentucky and Florida — all of which they took official visits to last fall. Those schools jockeyed for position over the past year, but ultimately it was the Blue Devils and coach Jon Scheyer who won out.
Cameron is the No. 2 overall prospect and No. 1 PF in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He was named Gatorade’s National Boys Basketball Player of the Year, joining the likes of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. Boozer went 26-4 and won the Class 7A state championship at Columbus. He averaged 21.1 points, 11.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and two blocks per game.
Cayden, meanwhile, ranks as the No. 20 recruit and No. 4 PG in the cycle. In three years at the varsity level for Christopher Columbus High, he has averaged better than 14 points per game while grabbing 4.2 rebounds and dishing out 5.6 assists per contest.

Scouting Reports on Cayden and Cameron Boozer
On3’s Scouting and Rankings team writes this about each as a prospect:
“Cameron Boozer plays at one level, never too high or never too low. He plays with excellent balance in all parts of the game. The jump shot has a smooth release. He is an excellent defensive rebounder and a high-level outlet passer. He has strong hands when he gathers the ball. Does not mind getting physical and will play with and through contact. He has good straight-line athleticism and runs the floor very well. Has average burst in short space, but he understands angles and rotations on the defensive end very well. Never rushed. Good pace.”
“Cayden Boozer is a strong-framed and aggressive point guard. At 6-foot-2, 6-foot-3 is a tough on-the-ball defender. He has quick feet at the point of attack and a strong IQ, understanding angles, and footwork. There is a toughness about Boozer. He is a good passer, plays well out of the pick and roll. His head is up, and has a great pace. He will need to continue to tighten the handle in traffic and continue to hone the reads, but that is natural growth. The jump shot is streaky; it is something he will need to continue developing to become a consistent threat. Boozer finishes well in the paint through contact.”
