Tyron Smith status for Cowboys vs Vikings revealed

Either Dak Prescott or Cooper Rush will get a huge boost on Sunday night. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, whoever starts at quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys got some good news regarding offensive tackle Tyron Smith.
“Good news for whoever starts at QB: Cowboys LT Tyron Smith, who is listed as questionable with an ankle injury, will play, per source,” tweeted Pelissero.
When Smith was sent for an MRI on his neck earlier this month, many Cowboys fans held their breath. Last season, the star offensive tackle missed 14 games with the injury. Luckily, Smith has been healthy this season. He used a well-timed bye week to recharge for the second half of the season.
Returning to the field for the first time since their thrilling victory in New England, the Cowboys will look to maintain their momentum. During Dallas’ bye week, Cowboys executive Stephen Jones provided an update on Smith’s play and health.

“He was outstanding,” Jones told 105.3FM the Fan of Smith’s performance against the Patriots. “He had no issues in the game, no setbacks, and feels better than he’s felt in years in terms of how he feels physically. And, of course, as we all see, when he’s feeling good, he’s the best in the business in our mind and playing at a real high level.”
Tyron Smith has been his usual outstanding self — allowing only one sack and three hurries on Prescott this season. Evidently, the offensive tackle seems to be back in prime form, and the Cowboys believe there should be no issues going forward.
