Vaughn Karvala jumped into the 2026 On3 150 at No. 117 in the last update. The 6-foot-6 wing from Oregon (WI) High had a breakout summer with the Tyler Herro Elite program on Nike’s E16 Circuit. Karvala averaged 14.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks while shooting 36.9 percent from three.

“I’m an explosive wing,” Karvala told On3. “I play above the rim and I can shoot it a little bit. I watch a lot of Dalton Knecht and his game, his love for the game. Being in the gym consistently has developed my whole game. I can mostly see it in my handle.”

On3 caught up with Vaughn Karvala recently to discuss the latest in his recruitment.

“Right now, I have offers from Marquette, Wisconsin, and Arkansas State,” Karvala said. “I’ve taken unofficial visits to both Marquette and Wisconsin.”

MARQUETTE: “When I went there they had a practice. They definitely had a great practice energy. It was like their whole team loved each other and they all thrived for each other’s success. I feel like that’s a huge part of that team.”

WISCONSIN: “My relationship with the staff there is great. Coach (Greg) Gard’s daughter went to my school, so we have known about each other for a while. I grew up watching them. It was definitely cool when that offer came in, seeing the hometown team like your game and give you a full ride, yeah it was amazing.”

“I’m hearing from schools like Purdue and Iowa State, a lot,” Karvala said.

In Vaughn Karvala’s words

“I’m going to look hard at the coaches,” Karvala said. “If the coach doesn’t want me to be the best player that I can be, then I don’t want to be around that. I’m a get-out-and-go guy, so I want to play in a system that lets their players run up and down the court.
