In-state LB Wassie Lugolobi commits to Washington
Sammamish (Wash.) Eastside Catholic 2026 linebacker Wassie Lugolobi announced his commitment to Washington on Sunday.
The 6-foot-1 1/2, 225-pound Lugolobi chose to play for head coach Jedd Fisch and the Huskies over opportunities from the likes of Colorado, Notre Dame, Oregon and Tennessee.
“Every time I visited the Washington campus it always felt like home,” Lugolobi said. “My relationship with the coaching staff especially Coach (Robert) Bala and the opportunity to play with my former teammates in front of my family made the decision easy. Being able to represent and play for the hometown Dawgs is an amazing opportunity that I’ll take great pride in.”
Lugolobi becomes commit No. 3 for Washington in the 2026 cycle. He joins running back Ansu Sanoe and kicker CJ Wallace.

“As soon as the new staff came in, I was let known I was a priority,” Lugolobi said. “And they never took their foot off the gas in terms of recruiting. They also showed me a specific vision they had for me and how I would fit into their program. Lastly the coaching staff are the kind of people I want to be around on a personal level and I also know they are capable of getting me to the next level.”
The On3 Industry tabs Lugolobi as the nation’s No. 37 linebacker and No. 4 overall prospect in the 2026 class.
