WATCH: Joe Burrow hits iconic Ickey Shuffle with Ickey Woods following Super Bowl berth
The Ickey Shuffle is alive and well – and headed to Super Bowl 56. Following Joe Burrow and the Bengals’ epic come-from-behind victory over the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game, the young quarterback hit the Ickey Shuffle with Ickey Woods in celebration.
Ickey Woods famously did the shuffle as his touchdown celebration with the Bengals in the late 1980s and early ’90s. The 55-year-old former Cincinnati running back was at the game last week when C.J. Uzomah broke out the dance. Uzomah left Sunday’s win before halftime with a suspected sprained MCL.
Burrow finished with 23 completions in 38 attempts, good for 250 passing yards and two passing touchdowns, while throwing just one interception.
Most impressively, the Bengals quarterback only took one sack, despite many opportunities for the defense.

Burrow headed to the Super Bowl
The former national champion struggled to put his feelings into words after the victory.
“But our defense made plays in the second half, and on offense, we made plays when we had to,” Burrow said postgame. “I thought our offensive line played really well all day. We started running the ball well there at the end, that was exciting. Big win for us.”
Joe Burrow is headed to the Super Bowl with the Bengals after an incredible turnaround for the organization. A big part of that turnaround, Ja’Marr Chase, broke yet another rookie receiving record on Sunday and scored his first postseason touchdown. The touchdown was the game-tying score.
With the win over Kansas City, Cincinnati is locked in for Super Bowl 56. The Bengals have never won a Super Bowl but this could be the year with Joe Burrow leading the way. They’ll face the winner of the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers matchup. Super Bowl 56 goes down on Feb. 13.
