WATCH: Julio Jones makes incredible catch off helmet of Bills defender
Tennessee Titans receiver Julio Jones reeled in an incredible catch in the second quarter after the ball bounced off the helmet of a Bills defender. Although Jones was initially ruled out of bounds, replay later confirmed the catch.
Jones is in his first season with the Titans after spending the first 10 seasons of his NFL career with the Atlanta Falcons. Entering Monday night’s contest, he had 12 catches for 204 yards and no touchdowns through three games.
The Titans have struggled to find success throwing the ball against a tough Bills defense. With two minutes left to play in the third quarter, Jones leads the team with two catches for 53 yards. The Titans currently trail the Bills 31-24 with nine minutes left to play.
As is typical, running back Derrick Henry has done most of the work for the Tennessee offense. He has 17 carries for 131 yards and two touchdowns.

If Tennessee can come out with a victory, it would go a long way for their season. They currently sit atop the weak AFC South, but a win against another contender would send a strong message to the rest of the league. They are coming off of a 37-19 victory against Jacksonville in Week 5, a game that Jones did not play.
The Bills, led by quarterback Josh Allen, have not lost since Week 1 against Pittsburgh. With nine minutes left in the third quarter, Allen was 31-of-40 for 283 yards, three touchdowns and an interception.
Following this game against Buffalo, the Titans will turn around to face Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. It’s unlikely we see Julio Jones catch another pass off of a player’s helmet in that one, or at all the rest of this season for that matter. Football fans will certainly want to soak up the magic of one of the best plays so far this year.
