WATCH: Ndamukong Suh caught on hot mic protesting call
Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Ndamukong Suh wasn’t happy with a first quarter call in Sunday’s playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams. As he voiced his frustration over being called for a taunting penalty, the official’s mic picked up Suh’s words.
“Did you see him kick me?” Suh asked angrily.
The defense end was referring Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, the player Suh was called for taunting against. The referee remained unfazed, upholding the 15-yard penalty. Three plays later, Los Angeles scored its first touchdown of the afternoon to take a 10-0 lead.
That score was only the beginning of a hot start for the Rams offense, which grew its lead to 27-3 by the seven-minute mark in the third quarter. Stafford played a part in all three touchdowns, throwing two in the first half and running in another in the second. Suddenly, the defending Super Bowl champions found themselves in danger of going home.
Tampa Bay finally scored its first touchdown of the day with 12 seconds left in the third quarter. That cut the Bucs’ deficit to 27-13, which was still the score with 10 minutes left in the game.

In spite of his hilarious protest of the call, Ndamukong Suh hasn’t recorded many stats in the playoff game. He has just two tackles and two quarterback hits as time continues to tick off the clock.
The winner from Sunday will move onto the NFC Championship Game, where they will face the San Francisco 49ers. Assuming the Rams hold on to win, it would be the third time this season the two teams have met. San Francisco claimed victories in both of the contests during the regular season.
If Tampa Bay looks to keep its hopes of repeating alive, it will need a miracle in the final minutes. Tom Brady is no stranger to leading team to comeback wins, though he currently as a tall task in front of him.
